I am the owner of Ren do kai which is a full time dojo and gym
I teach people karate from 5 years old upwards, I get great satisfaction from seeing children develop into confident adults and the older people in the classes get fitter and grow in confidence on a day to day basis.
Although karate has a serious side, I believe that there should be an element of fun in the classes I teach.
I also teach children with autism which can be very rewarding, I have also worked with ex addicts which help develop their inner strength
I am a great believer that karate builds character, self discipline and is a great confidence builder as it develops respect in children and adults within their daily lifestyles.
It develops etiquette which is demonstrated in good manners and decorum while developing the capacities to make informed, rational and responsible decisions and to work in ways which enhance their self-respect and sensitivity to the needs of others.
It encourages a healthy lifestyle and can increase fitness levels by not only working as a group but being primarily responsible for their own development outside of the group.
